Wind energy has hit the presidential stage. As candidates focus on how to tackle climate change, wind has emerged as a key opportunity: it’s creating green collar jobs, boosting the economy, and forming a clean, renewable future.
The first-in-the-nation caucuses are upon us, and Iowa is a national leader in wind - it was the first state to produce over one third of its energy from wind, its second in overall wind capacity, hosts world-class wind education programs, and supports nearly 10,000 jobs.
As the caucuses and the state’s leadership on wind converge, this live event served as an opportunity to hear from industry experts and business leaders on how they see the clean energy economy moving ahead - and how Iowa’s leadership can serve as a model.
